Enjoy exploring!
Last summer, I had the privilege of capturing a breathtaking multi-day wedding at the stunning Château de Tourreau, located in the heart of Provence. This 17th-century estate, surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent architecture, offers a luxurious and intimate setting for couples seeking a destination wedding that blends elegance, history, and natural beauty. The château’s blend of Renaissance charm and Provençal decor makes it an ideal choice for a wedding celebration.
Château de Tourreau’s picturesque landscapes and luxurious amenities make it a dream location for a destination wedding. Nestled among 20 acres of wooded grounds, the château offers a private, exclusive setting for an unforgettable celebration. Its proximity to historic cities like Avignon and Orange makes it easily accessible to international guests. Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a grand reception, this venue can cater to every need, making it the ultimate location for your dream wedding in the South of France.
If you’re planning a wedding in Provence, the best time to visit the region is in June or September. These months provide perfect weather, with warm temperatures and comfortable breezes—ideal for outdoor ceremonies and events. While the summer months of July and August can be quite hot, June and September offer a more pleasant experience, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of the château and its surroundings.
Transforming your wedding into a multi-day celebration not only provides a more relaxed pace but also enhances the overall experience. A multi-day celebration allows you to host various events, such as welcome dinners, ceremonies, and farewell brunches, giving you and your guests ample time to bond and enjoy the occasion. This extended format also allows for a deeper connection with your loved ones and creates lasting memories that go beyond the wedding day.
Friday Evening: Welcome Dinner
The festivities began with a warm and elegant welcome dinner, where guests from around the world gathered to celebrate the couple. The dinner, set in the outdoors of the castle, offered a selection of local dishes paired with fine wines, setting the tone for the weekend’s celebration.
Saturday: Ceremony and Celebration
Saturday’s events started with an intimate Indian ceremony, honoring the groom’s heritage. This was followed by an afternoon ceremony led by one of their closest friends, with the ceremony starting at 4:30 PM. Surrounded by the estate’s beauty, the couple exchanged vows in a deeply personal and moving ceremony. Following the vows, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, where they mingled while enjoying the scenic views of the château. The evening continued with a lavish dinner served under a luxurious tent, and the celebration continued into the night with music and dancing.
Sunday: Farewell Brunch
To close out this unforgettable weekend, a farewell brunch was hosted the next day. Set in the château’s charming courtyard, it was the perfect way for guests to reflect on the wedding weekend, enjoy local delicacies, and say their goodbyes.
