Picture this: the love of your life just popped the question and you’re beyond excited! You have your dream wedding in your head and you just don’t know where to begin and wonder what to book first, is a year in advance enough? There are just so many questions!!

First of all, congratulations! I don’t exaggerate when I say I am as excited as you are since I just love love stories (it’s honestly my favorite part of my job) and I get all rattled up when I think I will be able to witness something special with you as the main star!

Now let’s get down to business: In my experience, the first thing you should do is setting the date, this should be done with enough wiggle room so you can plan your wedding as you’ve always dreamt it so you should consider maybe setting it at least a year in advance.

Next thing to check on your list: the venue. When you think about your wedding day, how do you picture it? Is it an inside venue in a hotel or a backyard wedding?

Once you have the basics covered, it’s time to work on the fun stuff and search for that special person who will be able to portray the story of your big day just the way you’ve always dreamt it: your photographer. Now, this is a tricky task since there are many wonderful and talented photographers out there but not all of them will fit the bill for what you want and the reasons often go beyond the monetary aspect as it actually depends on whether their style matches your vision (to know more about my photographic style please check the following article: here). The way they make you feel will also play an important part in your decision as you will be aiming for the best and this will be hard to achieve if you do not feel comfortable with your photographer.

Now you might be wondering how you can book your wedding coverage with me and it is actually pretty easy:

Step One: Getting to know each other

We will set up a call where you can both meet and see if we would be a good fit for this important day. If everything goes well on our first meeting then we can move on to the step.

Step Two: Drafting a personalized quote

I believe every wedding is unique and this is why I need to have all the necessary information in order to create a personalized quote for you. Among the details I need would be the date/dates, potential planning (this is so I can have an idea of the length the coverage will have), venue name, and location along with other possible locations (so I can calculate any extra boarding and travel fees), etc. A pretty important detail I would need to know about is how many guests will be in attendance, this is necessary since the bigger the even the longer the shoot and we need to be prepared just in case we need to set up a second photographer in order to capture every detail during your big day.

Step Three: Making it official

Dates fill up fast so it is really important to secure your spot so once the quote has been confirmed we will proceed with a contract and a non-refundable retainer.

And that’s it! I will also be available to help you with any questions you might have along the process so if you’d like to set up a time to talk about your wedding you can just send me an email at: hello@marinoandrea.com
